I am really in love with this piece. The colours, for once, the repeated, dark, glowing colours, the blue in the sky and on Mox, the golden from his eyes and sigils. The background is wondrerful as well, making an atmosphere, a feeling of story. The roughness of Mox shows the mix between feathers and fur wonderfully. I love the flow of his mane and his tail, his pointy nose and staring eyes. I think both the cliff and the birch-trunk frames the piece really nicely, makes the grey of the background not too dominating, yet still gives that feeling of something that keeps on forever. The bird is a really nice detail. And your short description is really powerful.
Beautifully designed and painted, creating an almost 3D effect. Great attention to detail and the position of the main characters and subdued colour palette is very effective, adding to the atmosphere of the theme of the artwork. Great work!
This popped up randomly through a group I watch in my inbox, and I had to click for a closer look. I am really impressed by how you've managed to make a dark character pop against the night sky. The night sky is, of course, extremely lovely and one that makes me terribly depressed about light pollution all over again, but what I really like are the small details. The bird in the tree, the small pile of stones, and the formation in the background both give an idea of the setting and combine with the pose of the character to make me wonder what the story here is. Very lovely work, this is a wonderful piece!
Wow! o_o I'm used to see beautiful drawings from you, but this one managed to impress me again! It's just amazing how you keep drawing Moxiv without ever feeling generic. This one is so gorgeous, well done! (:
